Yasuko King passed away on Thurs. Nov. 30, 2017 in Eureka, CA. She was born in Japan on July 15, 1930 to the late Haru and Ankou Uchima. Yasuko met and married George King in 1959 while George was stationed in Japan. The couple moved to the US in 1959. Over the years she had many jobs the most memorable was in the accounting department with Chevron USA. She was a volunteer at the Concord Senior Center for over 10 years, and worked at local elementary and junior high schools helping with “yard duty” and was a favorite of many students.
She is survived by her son Robert King (Marie), daughter Catherine Hart (Donovan); sisters Shizuko Omata, Setsuko Nakase and Nobue Toyama; grandsons Rodel, Donovan, Peter and Robert; niece Masako Omata.
Visitation Tues. Dec. 5, 2017 from 5-8PM at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel 4125 Clayton Rd. Funeral Service Wed. Dec. 6, 2017, 10:30 AM also at Ouimet Bros.
