Bill was most known for his extreme devotion to his family, his creativity, and for supporting the people around him. He was born in Santa Monica, CA to Crowell and Mae Morris.
Bill proudly served in the US Navy aboard the US Oriskany and the US Ranger as a jet Mechanic. He worked as a wholesale milk driver for Berkley Farms Dairy and later as an assistant wood carving instructor at Mt. Diablo Adult Education.
Bill always enjoyed teaching and mentoring others which led him to volunteer multiple organizations including Boy Scout troop 465, Muir District Eagle Scout Board, White Stag, Wood Badge, Order of the Arrow, and Concord Athletic League Soccer Board. He was also a member of the Bay Area Wood Turners Association.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Gwen, Son Russ and wife Michele of Bend, OR, his Grandchildren Nicholas and Abigail Myers of Concord, Bradley and Brian Morris of OR, proceeded in death by daughter Leanne Myers.
A Celebration of life will be held October 22 at 2pm at Hillcrest Congregational Church in Pleasant Hill.
