William “Bill” Cash Jaggers, Sr. passed away peacefully on January 7th, 2023, just a few days before his 73rd birthday. He passed with loved ones by his side, as they shared fond memories of him.
Bill was born in Fort Scott, Kansas, and grew up in Choctaw, Oklahoma. After graduating high school he enlisted in the Navy and served as an Aviation Electricians Mate. Following his service, attended Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, CA. He later transferred to UC Berkeley, where he would meet his future wife Yolanda, and earn his bachelor’s degree in architecture.
During his career, Bill worked at several architectural firms in San Francisco, Walnut Creek, and Concord, finally retiring from tBP/Architecture in 2020.
Bill is survived by his wife of 44 years, Yolanda; four sons, Bill, Jr., Grayson, Elliott, and Nathan; daughters-in-law Amy, Bridget, and Tracy; grandchildren, Cashlynn, Tashia, Gideon, and Ryan; siblings, Dean, Mary (Luanne) McKinney, and Wayne; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Lucreta, and brother Jack.
Bill was a big proponent of youth sports. His children were often engaged year-round, participating in basketball, track and field, baseball, football, wrestling, and swimming. Over most of his adult life, Bill dedicated his free time to coaching youth baseball and football, traveling with his children to sporting and scouting events.
Bill was a curious individual who enjoyed learning about things like history, cooking, and the cultures of the world. He spent a lot of time learning about his own family’s roots, tracing them back hundreds of years. Bill was proud of his Scottish heritage, and an active member of the St. Andrews Society of San Francisco.
Celebration of his life will be at 11:00 am Thursday, January 26th, 2023, at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel, 4125 Clayton Rd, Concord, CA 94521. A viewing will precede the service starting at 9:00 am.
