Viola Esther Haase

Viola E Haase, age 92, passed away peacefully at John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek, after a short illness.
She was born on a farm in North Dakota as the 2nd child of 13 children. In 1947, she was married to Willard Haase, her one and only true love. Willard passed away in April of 1997 after 50 years of marriage.
They moved from the Dakotas to California in 1965, were Viola worked as the manager of the Concord Saddlery and Western Wear shop, after which she retired to her home in Concord. Her last place of residence was at the Westmont Assisted Living in Brentwood, CA.
Viola loved to cook, sew and traveled to many parts of the world.
She is survived by 3 children, Douglas Haase, Dennis Haase, and Sandra Ashley (Haase); 3 brothers, Lenard, Herbert, and Marvin Preszler; 3 sisters, Shirley Wu, Delores Hammond, and Bernise Wizer, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at 9:30 am on Sat, Jan. 5, 2019 at the First Presbyterian Church, 1965 Colfax St, Concord CA 94520.
