Thomas Riso

            Thomas Riso went home to be with the Lord after a year long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Antioch, CA and he grew up in Pittsburg, attending St. Peter Martyr School. He graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1961. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University. Upon graduating, Thomas spent 18 years as a Location Planning Analyst for Bank of America in San Francisco. After leaving Bank of America, he worked as an IHSS Supervisor for Employment and Human Services in Contra Costa County for nearly 20 years. Thomas loved being outdoors, spending his time camping, biking, and taking walks. He was a fan of many different types of music, especially classical, jazz, opera, and Christian Contemporary. He loved his family and friends dearly and enjoyed watching movies with them, or getting a cup of coffee or tea with them, and making sure that they were well fed!

            Thomas is survived by his wife, Katherine; his children Christopher Riso (Aizza) of Clayton, Natalie Yonemura (Mark) of Concord, and David Riso (Courtney) of Vacaville and grandchildren, Jeremiah, Joshua, Dominic, Sarah, Nathan, Jocelyn, and Ashley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Sarah Riso, his sister, Joann Russo, and his brother, Jim Riso.
