Thomas William Chapman

It is with great sadness that the family of Thomas William and Joyce Marie Chapman announces their passing over the weekend of April 20th, at the ages of 84 and 86. Married for 57 years, Thomas vowed not to leave his ill wife behind. He died within hours of learning of her passing. A proud Englishman and Canadian respectively, Thomas and Joyce will lovingly be remembered by their daughters Anne (Bill) Meisen and Lynne Callahan. They will also be remembered fondly by their grandchildren, Garrett and Jake and their sister in law Kathy.
 
Joyce was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Perhaps unknown to most, Joyce was extremely independent and in her 20s actually traveled extensively on her own, backpacking throughout Europe while staying in hostels. Joyce also traveled throughout her beloved Canada on her own and later with Thomas.
 
Tom was a prominent member of the distinguished accountancy firm, RINA. A Certified Public Accountant, Tom was an expert in forensic accounting, providing testimony in many cases. Tom was an extremely charming and charismatic man. His clients, many who had known him 40+ years, easily called him their friend as well. Tom continued his 7 mile bike rides each weekend, right up to his passing.
 
Tom & Joyce loved to take driving vacations, traveling several times a year to Canada and a cross country trip throughout the US and Canada. They travelled extensively, to Europe and many times to Maui, their favorite Hawaiian island.
