Tribute

Sheila May Gronemeyer passed on February 11, 2022.  After a long illness she is now finally Beyond the Sea with her loving husband Paul Henry Gronemeyer.

She was born in San Francisco, CA on May 3, 1939 to John and Marie (Werle) Hughes.  When it was time to Take Five, they moved to Concord.  She attended Queen of All Saints Elementary. Mt. Diablo High School and went to college in 1961, she graduated from Holy Names University and got married.  All That Heaven Will Allow!

Mom we loved The Way You Do The Things You Do! Devout Catholic and faithful member of St. Agnes Church, she was a loving Mom with a passion for all kids leading to volunteering with the Henny Penny Chapter of CHS and BACN when founded by the late great Sister Ann Weltz.

She did Feel Lucky when going out to restaurants and travelling with family, friends and her wonderful neighbors.  She liked concerts so she could Dance To The Music. And raising her 4 Cairns made her understand why God Loves A Terrier.

A big sports fan, she loved the kids teams and family travel for the Earthquake’s games.  And a passion for hockey – she started with the Seals and ended with the Sharks because Fun Must Me Always!

To all her family, friends and neighbors both here and beyond Slan Go Foil, Danke Schoen!

Sheila is survived by her daughter Heidi and son Paul, daughter-in-law Jan and grandson Paine who always made her Smile.

We send our love and thanks to the many care givers and Hope Hospice for there love and support.

In lieu of flowers, we suggest a donation to Muttville Senior Dog Rescue or the Charity of your choice.
