It is with great sadness that his family announces the passing of Raymond Warren Symington, born in San Francisco April 6, 1930 and died in Walnut Creek on May 28, 2017.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Thyken; son Tim Symington; 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Raymond was awarded 4 commendations between 1962 and 1967 and was awarded the Purple Heart in 1964 all from S.F.P.D. After he retired in 1983 from the department, he then guarded the president of Visa for several years. He enjoyed playing golf and bar tending at their many holiday parties. He will be missed!
Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation will be from 5:00PM to 8:00PM, Wednesday, June 14, 2017 with the Vigil Service at 7:00PM at Ouimet Brothers, 4125 Clayton Road, Concord and the Funeral Liturgy on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 10:00 at St. Bonaventure Church, 5562 Clayton Road, Concord. Interment will be private in Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
