Patricia Jean Sanders
Resident of Bay Point

Patricia Jean Sanders, 75, entered into rest May 17, 2017 in Concord; born August 10, 1941 in
Fresno to Fred and Genevieve (Higgins) Butler.
Patricia was a resident of Clyde, CA. She married Earl Sanders on October 4,1958 where they
started their family in Port Chicago, CA. In 1969, after losing their family home in the Navy
buyout, they moved to West Pittsburg, CA., where they have lived ever since.
Patricia was a Special Education Assistant for MDUSD for 30 years, before retiring. She
volunteered with the West Pittsburg Youth Football Assoc. and for the Johnny Filbeck
Memorial Scholarship Fund (BINGO). In her retirement she spent many summers with her
husband fishing for salmon on the Sacramento River in Colusa. She enjoyed spending time
with her family and friends and her trips to the casinos.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 58 years Earl Sanders; daughter Mari Nist (Bill) and son
Jerry Sanders (Laura) and 6 grandchildren: Sara, Ryan, Fallyn, Cody (Brittney), Tarryn, and
Jordyn. She is also survived by her brother Murl (Lefty) Butler, three nieces, and one nephew.
Her constant companion Mickey Mouse (mini dachshund) and the many hummingbirds she and
her husband fed provided her constant companionship and entertainment.
The family thanks Dr. Richard Chang, and his staff, for their excellent care and dedication to Patricia.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00PM, Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral
Chapel, 4125 Clayton Road, Concord. Funeral Service will be at 2:30PM, Monday, May 22, 2017 also at the Funeral Chapel.
Memorials in Patricia’s memory may be made to: The American Fibromyalgia Syndrome Assoc. or a charity of your choice.
