Maureen Grgurina Linder, 53, of Concord, Ca. passed away on April 23, 2021 after an extended struggle with her health. She is survived by her devoted husband of over 26 years, Darin Linder, and sons Aaron and Aidan Linder, along with many immediate and extended family members and friends who were like family to her.
Maureen was born on February 10, 1968 in Hayward, California. She attended St. Joachim Catholic School, Moreau High School and the University of San Francisco where she obtained both undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Maureen’s professional career began shortly after graduation from USF as an Account Manager with the Santa Clara Valley, Electric Department. She placed her professional career aspirations on hold when Darin and Maureen started their family.
Maureen dedicated the next period of her life to being a loving mother and wife, supportive daughter and sister, and an active community member. Her loving and selfless support was given on a regular basis throughout her life.
Maureen was committed to health and fitness throughout her life and participated in many athletic events, including triathlons and marathons; she even swam the icy waters of the San Francisco Bay from Alcatraz on multiple occasions. Her passion for health and fitness was shared with the senior community and athletes of all ages in recent positions she held prior to becoming ill.
Maureen was a devout Catholic throughout her life and most recently attended and volunteered at St. Bonaventure Church in Concord.
Maureen touched many lives and will lovingly be remembered for her devotion to family, faith, friends, and health. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A private, in-person service will be held on May 13th at 11:00am. The service will be live streamed for those who would like to attend virtually:
