Mary Leach

With broken hearts we announce the passing of Mary Louise Leach, age 89, who entered into rest at home surrounded by loving family. Born in Gibbstown, NJ, to Efthemios & Mary Dibenedetto Velahos, she was proud of her Greek and Italian heritage. Mary came to Contra Costa County in 1962. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Donald Leach (1973); son, Mark (1984); son, Scott (2022); and siblings, Julia, John, Pasquale & Margarit. She is survived by 4 children: Merrill, Donna, Brad, and Mary Lou; two siblings, Anthony and Caroline; 9 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren & many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, Oct. 7th at Christ the King Church, 199 Brandon Rd, Pleasant Hill. Immediately following, all are invited to Pacheco Town Hall for food and conversation.
