Lila Sue Peebles

Lila was born to Arthur Glen Barron and Lillian Eloise Houston in Santa Maria, Ca.  

Lila grew up in Clyde, Ca. and graduated from Pacifica High School.

Lila married Jack Peebles Sept. 9, 1960 and they had three children; Jacquelyn, Steve & Laura. They made their home in Concord, Ca.

Lila was a Mt. Diablo Unified School Bus Driver for 38 years. She was an active member of Full Gospel Church where she served for many years with the Youth Group & Bible Quiz Team.

After retirement Jack & Lila settled in Oakley, Ca. to be near family.

Lila is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bill and Donald Barron and

Son-in-law Chip Gee.

Lila is survived by her loving husband, Jack Peebles; Sister Dannie Peebles (Jesse)

Devoted children Jacquelyn Cross (Gerry) of Rio Vista, Ca

Steve Peebles (Stephanie) of Oakley, Ca.

Laura Gee of Bethel Island, Ca.

Grandchildren; Michael Hinojosa (Lola), Julie Hinojosa, Jessica Gee, Curtis Gee (Briana), Joshua Carl (Sabrina), Juliana Carvajal (Miguel), Jack Peebles (Brittinee), Diana Gee & Samuel Peebles. 

Great Grandchildren; Anna, Brianna & Jacob Hinojosa (Michael)

Camden & Caleb Palacios, Cody Rowlett (Julie)

Lila Bally (Jessica), Noah & Shylah Gee (Curtis)

 Jayden Carl (Joshua)

and many more family & friends.

Lila’s relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was her first priority. Some of her favorite things to do were; gather with her family that she loved so much, plan family dinners & holiday celebrations, try new recipes, read a good book & have long talks with her children & grandchildren. We will all miss those long talks with her. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and devoted “Gram”, sister and friend.  Her friendly, outgoing, never meet a stranger personality, will be greatly missed.
