Lawrence B. Forige (Bepa) passed peacefully at the age of 93. He was born in Spreckles, CA but had lived in Concord most of his life. After graduating from Mount Diablo High School in 1945, he served two years in the U.S Army. He met and married the love of his life Theresa Ramirez. To provide for his family he worked at the Tosca Oil Refinery. Some of the many things he loved to do was coaching Little League, restoring Model A’s, Going to the Raiders games, Watching The Golden State Warriors and Oakland A’s. He also loved Boating, Skiing and Camping on the Delta at Brannon Island. He then discovered Clearlake and built a cabin which has given us all some everlasting memories. He loved “that old stinky lake” as he would say. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for family or a friend in need. He was one of a kind.
When the Grandchildren began to arrive, they did not have a grandpa, they had a “Bepa” and he will always be their Bepa. His favorite pastime in his last year was to simply sit outside in the sun and listen to his favorite music, old Mexican songs as well as his Country favorites.
Lawrence is survived by his wife of 72 years, Theresa, Forige, daughter Mary Lou Bratt (John) Cecilia
Jaimes, sons, Michael Forige (Cyndi) Lawrence Forige (DD,Julie) and Alex Forige. Twelve grandchildren,
29 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
