Jonathan passed away on a Monday. His generous loving
spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
Jonathan was born in Oakland. He graduated from Concord High School
where he played Football #69. He sat on the main bench at lunch with the other players.
Jonathan is survived by his loving parents Jose Juan Hernandez and Sonia Hernandez.
He is also survived by his brothers Daniel Antonio Lupian and Juan Carlos Hernandez.
He also leaves behind his 4 legged best friend Remy Martin Hernandez.
He loved to travel, go on road trips, hike, food runs, movie nights, go to beaches, and bowling.
His passion was playing with his Lightsaber from StarWars and his fireworks.
Everyone knew his infatuation for fireworks. He loved driving to Fish Ranch Rd to watch the sunsets.
Our Jonathan was a sweet, attentive, determined, loyal, generous, funny and
good hearted young man. He loved his family and friends dearly. But I would like to mention a handful
that had an impact in his life.
Manpreet his brother from another mother,
Artzeus his pool and riding buddy,
Rafael N. and Christian M. his Football Boyz,
Kamilia his gorgeous curly haired Best Friend
Note from his father:
Jony as we know him is a fine person. We shared many stories together as father and son...great son.
Jonathan and his brothers Juan and Danny and of course Sonia (Mami) as he refers to, gave me the
opportunity to be a father, thank you. As a father I try to teach them the way of life, but now I realize that
they are my teachers. I am still learning to be a father to my sons. I can not promise to be the best but
I promise that I will love you forever. For the people that love Jony he is with us, All you have to do is think
of him and he will be right there smiling like always. He is everywhere now.
love,
Your Papi
