John died at home surrounded by his loving family after a valiant battle against pancreatic cancer. He was born in San Francisco and preceded in death by his parents, Vince Pelosi and Patricia Read Pelosi.
John was the beloved husband of Patti Kelly Pelosi for almost 50 years. He was the loving Father of Nick Pelosi (Jen), Michael Pelosi (Janel), and Lindsey Prater (Rob). He was an extremely proud Grandfather of Alysa, Vince, Anthony, Ray, Marcus and Audrey.
John had many interests, but especially loved cars and auto sports, his Lake Tulloch house, Boys’ Monday Night Football, and The Fratellanza Mens’ Club. He also enjoyed mailing a large amount of information and clippings from newspapers, magazines, etc to his many friends. The US Postal Service will sorely miss John.
John had a long career working for the San Francisco Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair where he was a Project Manager on US Navy Ships and Nuclear Aircraft Carriers. Following this he worked in the San Francisco Presidio as a Contracting Officer.
John’s Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, July 10, 12:30 PM at Christ the King Church, 199 Brandon Road, Pleasant Hill.
