Tribute for Joan Dolores Fields 1929–2020
Joan Dolores Fields, 91 of Concord, CA. passed away September 7, 2020.
Joan was born in Grand Rapids MI. to Fred L. Coe Sr. and Mary P. Hurley
February 25, 1929. She was one of Seven Children. In 1951 The family moved to
Oakland, CA. She married her first husband in 1952, and in 1954 moved to Concord, CA
where they raised their 4 children. Joan met the love of her life and married David O. Fields in 1976.
They had a loving and beautiful marriage until he passed 1987. She worked for Pac Bell as a Phone
Operator, Concord Transcript Newspaper and at Pro Audio as a Receptionist.
Joan had a passion for skating from early childhood to her 60’s. She
competed and assisted David with music at Local, Regional and National
competitions. She also enjoyed watching sports like golf tournaments, basketball, and
horseracing. Her other hobbies were painting and needlepoint. She enjoyed the ocean, cruising
and especially loved time with her Grandchildren and all the family in general.
Joan is survived by her children Linda Taylor-Hunt, Judy Camara, Karen
Andryauskas (Victor), Fred Middleton, Herb Fields (Emma). Siblings:
Patricia Nesset, Bruce Coe (Jill)
Grandchildren: Nicholas and Timothy Andryauskas, Adam Camara, David,
Alex and Kelsey Middleton, Tracy Fields-Daniels (Cary), Bobbie Kell (Tom),
Sarah Swope (Denton)
11 Great-Grandchildren and 13 Great- Great- Grandchildren, along with
many Nieces and Nephews
She is preceded in death by her Siblings: Maryanne Stream, Robert Coe,
Jerome Coe. Her Brother Fred L Coe Jr passed away the day after her.
Services to be held outside October 2, 2020 10am at Ouimet Funeral Home.
