James Michael Potts

James Michael Potts, 71, of Concord, CA, passed away on January 19, 2023, in Walnut Creek.

Jim was born in Palo Alto, California, to Jack and Dorothy Potts on August 28, 1951. The family moved to Concord in 1957 where he grew up and graduated from Concord High School in 1969. He was an avid Bay Area sports fan, especially the Giants and 49ers, and was always eager to debate any aspect of the game.

Jim is survived by his siblings; John Potts (Patricia) of Oakley, Marcia Joseph (Jeffrey), of Concord, Nancy Villa of Clayton and Diane Bailey (Eric) of Vacaville, and many loving nieces, nephews and family members. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Potts.

There will be a celebration of life at 12:30 pm on Sunday, February 5, at the Marina Event Center at the Pittsburg Elks Lodge, 200 Marina Blvd, Pittsburg, CA.
