James “Cory” Dunne, father, husband, son, brother, grandson, uncle, friend, and hardworking man, leaves us at the young age of 33. Cory was a loyal and dedicated father and excellent provider to his wife and beautiful children; he was their rock! Cory loved nature and the family would spend their time on the lake, at the ocean, and in the mountains. Above all Cory took great care of his family, always helping his Mom, Dad, two brothers and his grandmother. He will be remembered as kind, generous, and adventurous. A leader, a family organizer, a young man who loved and adored his family and always put them first.
Cory was born in Santa Rosa, grew up in Rohnert Park before moving to the East Bay and returning to raise his family in Santa Rosa. He graduated from De La Salle High School in 2007. Cory continued his education graduating from Butte Community College Fire Academy, traveled as a pipeliner in the southwest, ultimately joining PG&E in 2013.
Cory is survived by his wife Allise, and three children, Dayton, Harlie, and Allie. Brothers, Chris and Lucas, parents Laura and Kevin, and Grandmother Pat, with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. We will forever teach the children kindness, demonstrate the value of family, faith, and good health, as Cory would have.
Cory, We’ll feel you in the air we breathe, see you in the sunlight, and stars that shine from above. You will be missed more than words can say. Everywhere we go you will be with us and in our hearts forever.
