Gregory A. Scaletti (“Greg”) was born to Mario A. Scaletti and Oretta L. Scaletti on November 25, 1955 in San Francisco, California. Greg attended Immaculate Conception Academy Grammar School followed by Galileo High School. He was fascinated by mathematics and physics which he utilized to earn a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and obtained his aircraft mechanic and power plant licenses. While earning his degree, Greg joined the Plumber/Pipefitter’s Union and worked as a pipefitter at the Naval Shipyards in San Francisco which enabled him to pay for college. He worked for United Airlines followed by Ricoh where he enjoyed engaging with customers. Greg met his wife, Susan via the CB Radio and the two were married on June 20, 1987. They have two children, Antonio G. Scaletti and Stefani E. Scaletti. Greg enjoyed hunting with family and friends; he would never kill anything he wouldn’t eat. He also enjoyed winemaking with his cousin Mariano; a good wine accompanied every meal. Greg was a proud coach of Clayton Valley Little League and Mt. Diablo Soccer League. He was an avid skier, enjoying the thrill of the most difficult slopes at top speed. Motorcycles were his passion as was tinkering with car engines or anything mechanical. Boating and water skiing became a favorite pastime of Greg’s with family and friends as did camping and traveling the world. Greg is survived by his wife of 35 years, Susan, son, Antonio, daughter, Stefani, mother, Oretta, brother, Adrian and his wife Tanya and their children.
