It is with great sadness that the family of Gerald (Jerry) Frieberg announces his passing on Saturday, January 12 at the age of 77. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Suzanne Frieberg and their children, David with his wife Debbie, Shannon, Sarah with her husband James, and Elizabeth with her husband Peter. Jerry will also be greatly missed by his 7 grandchildren, Alexis, Mikhaila, Rocco, Asa, Magdalena, Adeline and Ignacious.
Jerry was born May 17, 1941 in Everret, Washington to Charles and Glennis Frieberg and spent his childhood in various Midwest states with his five siblings Jimmy, Danny Mary, Bobby and Kenny. After high school, he joined the Navy and later earned a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico where he met and married his wife, Suzanne. He was recruited by PG&E and moved with his wife and one year old son to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1970 and settled in Clayton. Jerry was a devoted parishioner of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Concord where he was active in many ministries. He was an especially kind man who lived his faith and adored his family.
