Florence B. Dale

Florence Bertha Dale passed away Saturday afternoon, November 27, 2021, at the age of 91.  

Florence was born on May 1, 1930 in San Francisco, California, a daughter of Joseph and Marie Dettling. A few years after graduating from Mission High School, she married her sweetheart George Dale. Together they resided in Daly City for 41 years, where they raised their two daughters, Kathleen and Patricia, before moving to Brentwood in 1996 where Florence resided for 20 years. 

When her children were grown, Florence began her 16 year career at I. Magnin in various roles, including Personnel Manager. Her favorite part of the job was helping the people who worked for her. After retirement she took on the role of full time caregiver to her beloved husband for many years until his passing. Besides spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Florence loved gardening, sewing, quilting, scrapbooking, socializing, and playing bridge. She also loved her cats. 

Florence was heartbroken to be preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, George Wayne Dale, her sister Mary Bertha Dal Porto, her brother Joseph Michael Dettling and her daughter, Patricia Ann Schuh. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Kathleen Mary Abbott and her husband Jimmie of McCloud, her son-in-law Joachim Schuh of Concord, her grandchildren Kara, Jason, Laura and Katie and their spouses, her eight great-grandchildren and many more extended family members.
