Elsie who was mom to so many departed her loving family on October 27, 2021 at her daughter, Gail's home.
Elsie was born to Stanley Clark Pomeroy and Florence May Dunn in Berkeley, California on September 22, 1931. She had a brother Ralph (deceased) and a sister Pat.
She graduated from Alameda High School and was proud to be the president of the Girls Athletic Association. Later, Elsie worked as a dental assistant, helped Dean with the family business and after her children were grown, she worked as a teacher's aide.
She was a mother to Linda, Gail, Steve, Robert (deceased), Mark, Kim, Julie, Matthew, Soni, Daniel, Chris, and Shari. She raised her children with her husband, Dean. She had a big, generous heart and often came home and told her husband that she had heard of another child that needed to be adopted. Together, Elsie and Dean raised their children with lots of love in Concord, California. Not only did she raise a lot of children, but she was like a magnet to any stray dog or cat needing a home and they seemed to just show up at the house.
Elsie loved music and singing. She was in several singing groups including The Tremble Clefs which she helped create. The Tremble Clefs was for people who had Parkinson's disease and their spouses. She is survived by 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held November 16 at 1:00 PM at Ouimet Brother's Funeral Chapel in Concord
