Eileen was born in San Francisco. She was the 3rd child of John and Clare Farley of Concord. Eileen graduated from Carondelet High School and University of San Francisco (magna cum laude). Her Jesuit Professors encouraged her to do The daily crossword puzzles in INK!
Eileen worked as a library assistant for CCC Library. She was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service, San Ramon. Eileen switched careers and was a Home & Hospital teacher with Mt. Diablo Unified School District for over 20 years. Eileen enjoyed teaching students and tutoring. Her biggest joy was to see her students thrive and succeed.
Eileen was very active with the Pearl Harbor Survivors, serving as a chapter Secretary for PHSA CA Chapter 13. Eileen was active with Sons and Daughters Pearl Harbor Survivors Chapter 5. She served as a national trustee and also a chapter trustee. Eileen was a parade coordinator involving our beloved survivors in Danville 4th of July parade, Walnut Festival and Concord 4th of July parade.
Eileen was an original parishioner of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, now St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Eileen was an usher at the Saturday evening mass.
Eileen is survived by her siblings, Gerald (Barbara) Paul, Kathleen, Michael (Kim) Maureen. Nephew Michael, Niece; Amanda.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday April 26th at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 860 Oak Grove Rd. Concord, at 11:00 am with Fr. Jerry Brown officiating.
Burial to follow mass at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1965 Reliez Valley Rd. Lafayette, 94549.
