Earl was born in San Francisco and graduated from Balboa High School. After serving in the Navy, he joined the California Public Utilities Commission as a Civil Engineer. It was there he met Kathie Gorton, and they married on March 5, 1977. They settled in Concord, and spent the next 41 years building their life and raising their family together. An active member of St. Agnes Parish, Earl devoted himself tirelessly to serving the parish community through his longtime involvement in CYO athletics, the Knights of Columbus, and the La Morita Mexico Youth Mission. He is survived by his wife Kathie and his three children, Michelle, Matt, and Erica.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00PM, Thursday, September 27, 2018 with a Vigil Service at 7:00PM at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel, 4125 Clayton Road, Concord. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:30AM, Friday, September 28, 2018 at St. Agnes Church, 3966 Chestnut Ave., Concord. Interment will be private in Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon.
