Carmen Lorraine Castellano passed away after a very long battle with addiction. Her true soul was of love, laughter, and a caring nature. She loved her family, friends and animals. She especially loved music as well. Michael Jackson and Prince were a couple of her all-time favorites .Carmen was born in Concord, CA and grew up in Martinez. She attended Alhambra High School and was a graduate of Vicente Martinez High School. lCarmen is survived by her mother, Cookie Castellano of Martinez; late father (Oct 2021), Richard Castellano of Sonora; sister, Angela Castellano of Concord; brothers, Richard Castellano Jr. of Plumas Lake, Abe Katz of Martinez, along with nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, many cousins, and both grandmothers. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Abraham Katz of Martinez. Those who knew and loved Carmen will never forget her and know she is at peace, dancing and singing and laughing in heaven, within our hearts forever. Carmen’s ashes will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Oakmont Memorial in Lafayette on Friday, April 1, 2022. Family and friends are invited to a reception afterwards at the Martinez Waterfront Park at 3pm.
