Betty Jo Doser

Betty Jo Doser passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 after suffering a brief illness. She loved her friends and family and will be greatly missed.
Betty was born in McAlester, Oklahoma, graduated from Brentwood High School in California and attended Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, CA. She worked as a secretary for many organizations and took pride in several published travel articles.
She enjoyed traveling, creative writing, flower gardening, and spending time with friends and family. Her faith and fellowship with members of Bethel Baptist Church, Trinity Baptist Church and New Life Christian Fellowship were significant influences in her life.
Betty is survived by her two daughters, Karen Dial (Dan) of Springfield, MO and Jane Ghorbani (Samuel) of Concord; four granddaughters, Stacy Cummings (Greg) of Branson, MO, Melissa Ghorbani (Jason Agnew) of Concord, Jenny Fosdyck (Ron) of Wright City, MO and Monica Ghorbani (Eric Willoughby) of Concord. Five great grandchildren brought her great joy: Mina Ghorbani-Agnew, Emma Cummings, Javeed Willoughby, Lauren Cummings, and Hayden Fosdyck. Betty is also survived by her sisters Cleo Campbell of Oroville, CA, Wanda Stewart (Charles) of Berry Creek, CA and two brothers, Ross Edwin Griffin (Mary) of Thermalito, CA and Gene (Patty) Griffin of Texas.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Clyde Doser, Jr., mother Mary Abercrombie Kindt, brothers Leslie Douglas and Edward Griffin, as well as a sister, Gail Rubino.
A memorial service is planned for Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Ouimet Brothers Funeral Chapel in Concord. A graveside service will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Concord.
