Alma Thomas

Alma "Kay" Thomas, 80, passed away peacefully at her care home in Concord, CA in the early hours of November 17, 2022.

Kay was born September 23, 1942 in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. As a military brat, she moved a lot as a child until her family settled in Sparks, Nevada. After graduating high school, Kay joined the Immaculate Heart Convent and College where she earned a Master's in English with a minor in Mathematics. After leaving the convent, Kay met her soul mate, Ron, while living in Long Beach, CA. Kay and Ron were married in 1973 and settled in the Bay Area where they raised their three children. Kay inspired countless children during her thirty plus years of teaching, the majority of which was at Holy Rosary School in Antioch, CA. She enjoyed camping with her family, baking, and was always with a book in hand.

Kay is predeceased by her parents, Henry and Annette McCulloch, her brother, Johnny, and her husband, Ron. She is survived by her two sisters: Rosemary Hanks and Ann McCulloch, her three children: David, Joshua, and Hannah, and her two grandchildren: Triston and Aiden.
