Alexis was born in Havana, Cuba to Justa Felina Carbonell Rodriguez and Julio Alberto Carbonell Pinero. She immigrated to the U.S. with her brother on September 23, 1962 as part of the Pedro Pan children’s exodus which moved approximately 14,000 unaccompanied children from Cuba to the USA. She graduated from Newtown High School in Elmhurst, New York. Alexis was married in New York on July 16, 1973 and moved with her family to California in 1985.

Alexis passed away in her Concord home, surrounded by her loving family.  She leaves behind her husband of  44 years, Juan “Pepe” Cadamartori, daughter Jaimee Lynn Evans, son Eric John Cadamartori, grandchildren Riley James, Ashlynn Marie and Savanna Alexis Evans; and her brother Julio Carbonell.

Alexis loved dancing, music, shopping and attending mass at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Concord. She will be missed by all whom her life touched.
