Ruth Ann Moen was born on Nov. 20, 1923 in a farm house in rural Gary, Minn. to Sophia & Oscar Moen. She went home to be with her Lord on March 22, 2017. In 1943 Ruth married her high school sweetheart Clayton Lee, they were married 69 ½ years. In 1950 they packed up 3 children and moved to California, they were longtime residents of Concord and Clayton and were Charter Members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and active in Sons of Norway Lodge. Ruth was a great secretary, excellent seamstress and a wonderful wife and mother. She made the best lefse west of the Mississippi.
She is survived by her daughter Linda and her husband Gary of Clayton, son Gary and his wife Barbara of Lotus, CA. 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 ½ great great grandchildren and her brother Sanford of Gary, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband Clayton and son Ross.
Special thanks to the compassionate caregivers at Montecito, the hospice nurses and Pat Garidel who faithfully visited Ruth every Monday.
The family honored Ruth with a private graveside service. She was loved by everyone and will be kept in our fond memories forever.
