Pauline Florence Canova, age 66, of Walnut Creek, passed away in her home on May 1, 2017.
 Pauline was born in Manila, Philippines to Francis and Maria on February 14, 1951. She attended The American School in Manila before moving to the United States. She graduated from Santa Clara University in 1972 with a degree in Psychology. Pauline married Richard Canova on June 2, 1973 at Santa Clara University. After marriage, she dedicated her life to raising her three boys into the father’s they are today. Her boys were the light of her life and she surrounded herself with photos of them and her grandchildren. Pauline also loved her two dogs greatly. She cared for her two Carin terriers, Angus and Fergus, as she once cared for her three sons. They were her babies. Pauline will always be remembered by her infectious smile and her selfless nature. Her sons will never forget all she did for them growing up, always putting her boys ahead of everything else. Pauline’s husband will forever miss his best friend and companion, one he loved to share everything with no matter how small.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Maria Florence.
Pauline is survived by Richard Canova, Michael and Sandra Canova, Gabriel and Erin Canova, Christopher and Christine Canova, Rose Marie Florence, and her seven grandchildren, Christian, Peter, Cooper, Claire, Anthony, Benjamin, and Francesca.
Pauline was an avid lover of children and dogs. Donations may be made on her behalf to Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation will be 5:00pm Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel, 4125 Clayton Road, Concord; with Rosary at 7:00pm.              
Funeral services will be held 10:00am Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1150 Mellus St., Martinez with Fr. Zapp of Blessed Sacrament Church officiating.   Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
