Evelyn “Effi” Cartan, 82, died January 12, 2018 at her residence in Santa Cruz surrounded by her loving family. Effi was born April 13, 1935 in Voorburg, Holland & was a longtime resident of Concord. She & her husband Robert were co-owners of Cartan’s Baby News in Pleasant Hill for over ten years. They were active members of St. Bonaventure Parish serving in many ministries.
Effi is survived by her husband of 57 years Robert “Bob” Cartan, daughter & son-in-law Heidi & Philippe Habib, grandchildren Tyler (Karissa), Michelle, Noah, & Matthew as well as a great-grandson Jaxon. She is predeceased by her son Derik Cartan in 2013 & her twin sister Marion Lindquist in 2017.
Funeral Liturgy will be Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11AM at St. Bonaventure Church, 5562 Clayton Road, Concord. Memorials may be made to St. Bonaventure Food Pantry or Costanoa Commons Farm 335 Golf Club Rd. Santa Cruz, CA. 95060
