Surrounded by his family, Ekkehardt Keller, aged 74 passed away from heart failure at Kaiser Hospital in Walnut Creek, CA on Jan 18, 2018.

Born in Germany, he came to the US with his mother at age 9. After graduating from Sacramento State University he joined the US Army. In 1969 he married his wife Lucy. He joined the Concord Police Dept. in 1970, retired in 1998 and was a member of SIR Branch #8 where he made many lifelong friends.

Ekkehardt is survived by his wife Lucy, son Ryan, daughter Sylvia and her partner Sonya.

A protector of his family and of the environment, he was a good, honest and strong man who will live on in the heart and memory of those who loved him.

Funeral Services were held on Monday, Jan 22, 2018
