After a courageous battle with cancer and with her family at her side, Carole Callaghan Williams died in Clayton, CA on Feb 10, 2018. Having lost her Coffey Park home in the Santa Rosa fires of 2017, she moved to Clayton, CA

Carole was predeceased by her husband Donald and is survived by her children: Daniel Gilman, Debora Antis, Colleen Gilman, Kevin Gilman (Nina), James Gilman (Carol), Madolyn Gilman-Cobb (Michael), Brian Gilman (Teresa) Elizabeth Bleeker (Mark); 19 Grandchildren and 14 Great- Grandchildren.

While raising 8 children, Carol graduated from UC Berkeley in 1969 where she earned a BS degree in Social Sciences with a minor in English. She then taught Middle and High Schools as well as Adult Education. Along with her late husband Don, she co-owed Don’s Rentals in Sebastapol, CA. Carole enjoyed family get-togethers, sewing, knitting, quilting, travel and playing bridge.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thur, Feb 15, 2018 with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel, 4125 Clayton Rd., Concord, CA. The Funeral Liturgy will be on Fri, Feb 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Bonaventure Church, 5562 Clayton Rd., Concord, CA. A reception will immediately follow in the church hall.
