Carol, a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend passed away on Jan. 14, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Born Carol Ann Shrader on March 2, 1943 to Charles and Jessie Shrader and raised in Oakley Ca, she graduated from Liberty High School in Brentwood CA and married John Rainas in 1962.

She leaves behind her children Valerie (Raymond) Snyder and John (Bonnie) Rainas; grandchildren Samantha Reitz, Brittany Rainas and John Rainas, her sister Virginia Burns, broth- er Jack Shrader and many nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Robert Shrader.

Carol retired from Contra Costa County Medical Billing and enjoyed vacations and spending time with her family and friends, her church family and her Old Ladies group.

She lived as she wanted for almost 75 years, with joy, love and acceptance for everyone she met.

A celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 20th, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Valerie and Rays. The family requests donations to help to find a cure to COPD at copdfoundation.org
